Well, as the story in The Olympian told, UCAN is off the hill and more centrally located, downtown in the old Montgomery Ward’s Building at 317 Fourth Ave E. Director Loosen and his hoard of volunteers worked VERY HARD to make the space more habitable.
UCAN would like to thank all the students and staff at Chinook Middle School for their tireless work in collecting toiletries for our clients. Director Loosen, Michael and Laura Waggener, and volunteer Pierre went to the school yesterday and picked up a truckload of items. Leadership advisor Ron King and his students (pictured below) are to be commended for their efforts in this worthwhile project.
